Bourn Brook is a very picturesque stretch of water, that holds a remarkable head of fish.
The Brook is very much a back to nature water. We deliberately leave it alone, and only cut the minimum amount of swims.
The fishing on the Brook has been a bit slower in the past few seasons, this is mainly due to the severe lack of rain we've had. Consequently the Brook remains clear and the fish tend to hold more in the main river.
When the main river is in flood the majority of fish move into the Brook, which is fishable even when the river is racing through.
The picture on the right is just one of the many quality Perch that are caught on a regular basis from Bourne Brook.

BOURN BROOK
1-9oz Perch
Bourne Brook does hold a very large shoal of Bream at certain  times of the year.
I have got video footage of them swimming past me, I've counted over 100 fish between 3-6lbs. They are very illusive and are rarely caught.

The Chub and Perch can be caught all throughout the season on the Brook. The Perch go to over 2lbs, and the Chub go to 6lbs.

The Roach fishing on the Brook doesn't usually start to get productive until after October.

Pike on the Brook go into double figures.
Lures and dead baits are successful at any time.
