CAMBRIDGE USC ANGLING CLUB RULES
1.    That the club shall be called the Cambridge USC Angling Club

2.    The headquarters shall be at the University Social Club, Mill Lane, Cambridge

3.   Only members of the USC are entitled to membership of the USC Angling Club, plus      associate members as per the USC Constitution.

4.   The management of the USC Angling Club shall be vested in the committee which shall comprise; Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Match Secretary, and not more than eight others, to be elected annually at the AGM. five to form a quorum, of which 2 must be officers.

5.  The AGM shall be held on the 2nd Thursday in April of each year at 7.30pm at the Social Club, Mill Lane, Cambridge.

6.  The annual subscription shall be £14.00 for USSC Members and £12.00 for Associate members.

7.  Only paid members may fish USC waters, visitors are not permitted to fish except as in rule 17. 

8.  No damage shall be done to banks or the surrounding woodlands, all gates to be kept closed, no litter to be left (including fishing line and weights) no fires to be lit,no tents or boats, no discarding of unused bait on the banks or in the water. Any member who does cause damage shall pay for the same, and be liable to forfeit his membership. ( fishing from marked pegs only )

9.  A membership book containing the rules shall be issued to each paid up member who shall produce it on demand as evidence of his right to fish USC waters, the holder is entitled to demand production of similar evidence of the right of any other person fishing USC waters, and generally to act as bailiff in such circumstances.

10. Any person lending his book shall be expelled from the club.

11. Members must hold a current EA licence.

12. Any item for the agenda to the AGM must be sent to the secretary before the 14th March

13. Any person found fishing USC waters other than bona-fide members will be prosecuted.

14. Any member taking a gun or any other weapon on the banks or surrounding lands of USC waters will be expelled from the club, all dogs to be kept on a lead.

15. All monies, deeds etc to be in the custody of the Trustees Savings Bank, and be deposited by the treasurer, or an appointed committee nominee in the name of the USC Angling Club. The Treasurer to produce a certified statement of the accounts when asked to by the chairman.

16. No visiting parties to be allowed on USC Waters unless written permission be obtained by the committee.

17, The Committee shall have the power to offer prizes for competitions from club funds to make arrangements for matches, and to charge entrance fee where necessary.

18. All committee meetings to be held in the headquarters on the day and dates specified by the secretary.

19. A special general meeting may be called by the committee or by 10 members of the club, provided 10 clear days notice in writing be given to the secretary, and the business stated for such meeting is called, only to be dealt with at such a meeting.

20. The committee shall have the power to appoint a member to take legal action on the behalf of the committee.

21. The committee reserves the right to expel any person from the club.

22. Members fishing at Cantelupe MUST park motor vehicles in the official  parking area ONLY, failure to do so may result in the vehicle being towed away, and expulsion from the club.

                       current parking badge must be displayed.

23. A maximum of 2 rods may be used at any one swim at any one time.

24. No night fishing at Cantelupe Farm.

25. Members shall respect others and refrain from loud radios and such irritations.

26. The removal of fish is prohibited with the exception of  Eels for consumption.

27. Rules may only be changed at the AGM.

28. Pike Gags are banned

29. Pike anglers must have proper release gear ( forceps, pliers etc )
